Welcome to the website for P&S Engraving.
P & S Engraving was formed in 1980 by myself Brian Skilton and partner Roy Pettitt, who had both
served apprenticeships and worked together for a local engraving firm from the early sixties. Probably the last apprentices to learn the skills of relief engraving from some of the fine craftsmen who had
worked in the trade since the 1920’s.
Our working methods have had to change in recent years, using more modern equipment and materials,
to enable us and our staff to provide a better service and keep our prices at an affordable level.
The main
objective always being to produce the highest quality tools possible, to help you, the bookbinder, restorer,
teacher or student to safeguard the books of the world for future generations and keep the ancient craft of
bookbinding alive.
